How we started

The old adage that, to make a million dollars with a winery you must invest 10 million dollars, has been around in many forms for decades. Keenan Hopkins went by his own rules.

He invested in a winery with a friend. Little did he know, he would one day produce a highly sought after Australian Deer Horn Liqueur.

Passion

Keenan’s expertise was not in wine making, but a successful IT business and had many wineries as customers. This impressed on him the virtues and the people required to conceive his unique range.  In a well-made wine disparate elements commingle to create a beautiful and unified impression. Forces fused through allure and collision. Force and beauty as two sides of the same coin.

Craftmanship

Making great wine isn’t a hardship, it’s a joy. Great wine is the application of winemaking craftsmanship to wonderful fruit. Don’t be fooled by the idea that a winemaker has to struggle to achieve. A winemaker has to learn to achieve! A winemaker must seek to make great wine – they must understand the science and have the skills, understand the great wines of the world, and have practiced and gained experience. And then after a number of vintages the critics and wine lovers may conclude their wines are great.
